About the Author
Linda Goldman is the author of several books, including Breaking the Silence: A Guide To Helping Children With Complicated Grief and Raising Our Children to Be Resilient: A Guide to Helping Children Cope With Trauma in Today’s World. She has been an educator in the public school system as a teacher and counselor for almost twenty years and has a private grief-therapy practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

This book is incredible.

This book is incredible. Ms. Goldman has taken her practical information and guidance on children and grief and expanded and updated it. It is so useful. It has really helped me understand loss issues in my own family involving diversity, immigration, and even issues involving technology, their big impact on children, and how we can help them. The children's bibliography is so thorough and complete. I was amazed at the new books and websites available for kids on all of the loss topics discussed. Thanks to Ms. Goldman once again for sharing and making available such in-depth information and guidance on children and grief.

This new edition of Life and Loss is wonderful. It offers great advice and practices to help children who face so many complicated issues in today's world. It also supplies a huge variety of additional resources. I know it will help me in my work with children and to be more aware of the diversity of issues and identities our children face. I highly recommend it to everyone!
