W. Todd Jarvis, PhD, is Interim Director of the Institute for Water and Watersheds at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. He is a consulting groundwater hydrologist with nearly 30 years of experience and specializes in dispute prevention and conflict resolution related to groundwater resources and water well construction.

Recommended Reading for Water Resource Professionals

As a consulting hydrogeologist and veteran of many western water wars, I highly recommend this excellent book which offers a unique and much needed approach to resolving complex disputes over our scarce groundwater resources. I liked the book so much that I purchased several copies for all of my work associates. I think that "Contesting Hidden Waters" should be required reading for owners, regulators, consultants, and all parties who work with water resources and water rights.
